College Strategic Plan
Dear Faculty, Staff, and Students,

The College’s Strategic Plan has been finalized and is available here.
The Strategic Plan is the result of the dedicated work of many faculty, staff, and students in the College. More than seventy people served on committees last year to develop recommendations, which in turn led to the draft of the Plan last spring. It was reviewed by nearly 900 readers. The College held four town hall meetings and met with individual faculty and groups to discuss the draft. Throughout the summer, College staff members have worked on revisions prompted by the responses we received, and the Plan you read is the result of this process. It represents a guide that we will follow in supporting the research of our outstanding faculty, enhancing our teaching and service missions, and in seizing opportunities to write exciting new chapters to the distinguished history of the College.
Much of this academic year will be devoted to implementing the Plan’s recommendations and, in some cases, charging committees with the formulation of strategies intended to achieve our goals.
My thanks to all of the people who gave their time so generously to this undertaking.
Sincerely,
James H. Rudy Professor of Psychological and Brain Sciences
Dean, IU College of Arts and Sciences
