Committee for Undergraduate Education
CUE and Undergraduate Education
The Committee for Undergraduate Education (CUE) discusses and approves degree objectives (majors, minors, certificates, degrees) proposed by College departments and programs and by other units at IUB seeking College approval for their degree objectives for College students. In addition, CUE considers College and General Education campus undergraduate requirements and most curricular and non-curricular aspects of undergraduate education, including Themester, advising, co-curricular activities, and academic policies.
CUE meets monthly during the academic year.
CUE consists of appointed College faculty representing Arts & Humanities (3), Social & Historical Studies (3), and Natural & Mathematical Sciences (3) plus the undergraduate academic deans in the Dean’s Office, and one undergraduate student representative. Faculty members serve three year terms; the student representative typically serves a one-year term. The presiding officer is the Associate Dean for Undergraduate Affairs.
