2. Approved proposal for a minor in Leadership, Ethics and Social Action ("Service Learning"). 3. Approved the minor in Dance (HPER) for students in the College with the condition that the faculty in charge of the minor explore further interdisciplinary connections and possibly list additional courses in the College and the School of Music. 4. Rejected the minor in Tourism (HPER) for students in the College. 5. Rejected the minor in Human Sexuality (HPER) for students in the College. 6. Approved the minor in Labor Studies for students in the College with the provision that the courses listed be available on the Bloomington campus as regular courses and not only through correspondence. DISCUSSIONThe Committee discussed various proposals for minors: Leadership, Ethics and Social Action Minor ("Service Learning") in the College; Dance Minor, Tourism Minor, Human Sexuality Minor (all three in HPER); Labor Studies Minor. Dean Smith gave the Committee information about a proposed distance education course to be offered through the College and the Committee discussed procedure for review of such proposals. The Committee discussed math fundamental skills which will be discussed further next year. The Committee discussed CUE membership for the academic year 2002-2003.This was the last meeting for the academic year 2001-2002. |
