David Ellies came to the field of higher education development after spending more than 20 years working in the financial services industry in the private sector. His knowledge of financial vehicles and investment strategies, along with strong interpersonal skills, allow him to serve the financial goals of the College of Arts and Sciences and satisfy the objectives of donors. His development work includes training at The Fundraising School at the Center on Philanthropy at Indiana University-Purdue University Indianapolis, several CASE Major Gifts fundraising seminars, The Arts and Science of Donor Development from Advancement Resources, Inc., and more than five years in Business Development and Personal Financial Services for Key Bank in Ann Arbor, Michigan.
