Plagiarism: What it is and How to avoid it
The College expects all students–undergraduate and graduate–to act with integrity in the work they produce. In like manner, we ask that our instructors provide students with clearly articulated information on expectations and the consequences for citing inappropriately or otherwise exhibiting academic misconduct. The University has a clear set of expectations in the Code of Student Rights, Responsibilities, and Conduct; students should know that in all classes taught in the College, the obligation to act with integrity is fundamental to a university education, and the consequences for misconduct will be applied fairly and consistently.
