Lynda Delph, Executive Director of Science Outreach
As Executive Director, Lynda is responsible for leading the development of outreach initiatives under our purview. She is the primary point of contact for faculty interested in developing outreach activities or programs for their departments and/or grant proposals. Lynda is also a professor of biology with an active research lab. Research areas include ecology, evolution, and plant biology.
Jeremy Bennett, Associate Director of Science Outreach
As Associate Director, Jeremy is responsible for the daily oversight of all outreach activities and staff/volunteers under our direct supervision. This includes the two premiere undergraduate research programs housed within OSO—the Integrated Freshman Learning Experience (IFLE) and IU Science, Technology, and Research Scholars program (STARS). In addition, he will oversee new initiatives developed by OSO, manage accounts and scholarships, and serve as the primary contact to campus constituents (e.g., faculty, prospective and undergraduate students, Admissions, Scholarships, DEMA, Financial Aid, Wells/Cox, etc.).
Tina Gilliland, Outreach Liaison
Tina is the primary contact for event coordination, including the Indiana Junior Academy of Science (IJAS) and the Indiana Science Olympiad State Tournament competitions, as well as other K-12 activities. She is an additional contact for the IFLE and IU STARS programs. Tina will serve as the primary contact to K-12 teachers and students as well as to IU faculty/staff overseeing their own departmental/institutional outreach activities (e.g., open houses and facility tours).
