Undergraduate education is of central importance to the mission of Indiana University, and the College of Arts and Sciences is at the center of undergraduate education. The College is the largest and oldest of Indiana University’s schools and is the institution’s intellectual core. Undergraduates receive a world-class education from distinguished faculty in top-ranked academic programs. The College offers 64 areas of study spanning the liberal arts and sciences, from the study of the birth of the universe to the latest scientific and technological advances, and encompassing the literatures and languages, history and arts, economics and politics of the world’s cultures.
