David E. Albright Memorial Scholarship

Description:

This scholarship was established to honor Dr. David E. Albright’s passion for international issues by recognizing a deserving student with a major in the School of Global and International Studies and a strong interest in and commitment to international issues.

Eligibility:

  • Must be pursuing a major within the School of Global and International Studies in the College of Arts and Sciences
  • Must have current full-time status at IUB or in an IU- administered or IU-co-sponsored overseas study program
  • Must enroll as a full-time student for both semesters of 2014-2015 at IUB or in an IU- administered or IU-co-sponsored overseas study program
  • Must be eligible to graduate in May or August 2015
  • Must have a demonstrated record of “international passion and commitment” (see description of Personal Statement below)
  • Must show outstanding academic achievement, including a minimum GPA of 3.500 in the major at the time of application

  • Application Form
  • Résumé or CV
  • 400-500 word personal statement of international passion and commitment
  • Two letters of recommendation from IU faculty members; at least one letter must be from a faculty member in the School of Global and International Studies

Award:

One award in the amount $1,000
