This is a national scholarship program that supports undergraduate students planning careers in natural sciences, math and engineering. The Barry M. Goldwater Scholarship and Excellence in Education Foundation accepts applications only through participating universities via designated nominating officials. The College holds an internal competition to select nominees for the national Goldwater competition and The Foundation selects approximately 300 winners each year from all over the United States. |

Application Process: |
The Foundation accepts applications only through participating universities via designated nominating officials. Students MUST register with the Undergraduate Academic Affairs Office to pick up application materials. Please call 855.1647 to arrange an appointment. The College's Selection Committee will review all applications and will forward successful nominations to The Foundation who will select scholarship recipients. |

See application packet (to be picked up from Undergraduate Academic Affairs Office, Owen Hall). These materials include important information about paper and electronic application procedures. |
Award: |
Up to $7,500 per year toward the costs of attending college, including tuition, fees, books, and room and board. Current juniors are eligible for one year of support; current sophomores are eligible for two years of support. |
