Jane Bosart College Emergency Scholarship

Description:

The purpose of this award is to provide financial assistance to undergraduate students in the College who encounter a significant financial hardship as they approach graduation that may affect their ability to complete their degree.

Eligibility:

  • Indiana resident with a documented financial hardship
  • Current full-time status at IUB or in an IU-administered or IU co-sponsored overseas study program
  • Have a minimum College GPA of 2.750 at the time of application and be in good academic standing
  • Have completed CASE English Composition and Mathematical Modeling requirements, and have begun the CASE Foreign Language requirement (for BA, BS, BFA students)
  • Be eligible to graduate within three semesters of receiving an award
  • Have consulted with Student Central at 408 N. Union St. regarding other financial options

Application Process:

Complete the application (attached here). Materials may be submitted electronically to coasaado at indiana.edu. Applications are reviewed and awards are made on a rolling basis. Applications will be accepted up to 4 weeks before the last day of classes each semester.

  • Personal statement
  • Evidence of a consultation with Student Central at 408 N. Union St. regarding other financial options

Award:

Number and amount of awards will be determined by the College Scholarship Selection Committee. An interview with the Committee may be required.

Deadline:

Applications will be accepted up to 4 weeks before the last day of classes each semester.
