Sally Kissinger Wilt Merit Scholarship

Description:

This competition is open to current freshmen who were directly admitted to the IU College of Arts and Sciences. The recipient(s) will receive an award to be applied to cost of attendance for the sophomore year at Indiana University Bloomington.

Eligibility:

  • Current full-time freshman who were directly admitted to the College in fall 2014
  • Full-time enrollment during the 2014-2015 academic year
  • High academic merit, including a minimum College GPA of 3.700 (must be maintained for duration of the award)
  • Maintain full-time enrollment in the IU College of Arts and Sciences or in an IU-administered or IU-co-sponsored overseas study program for the duration of the award
  • Have a current FAFSA on file to verify financial need

Preference is given to students from single-parent families and to applicants with financial need.

Application Process:

Submit completed application forms by the deadline

Materials:

  • Completed application forms
  • Résumé
  • Two letters of recommendation; at least one from a current IU College faculty member
  • Personal statement
  • Second statement, if desired

Award:

The recipient will receive a $500 award to be applied to the cost of attendance for the sophomore year at Indiana University Bloomington. The award may be renewed annually for a total of up to three years (six semesters) while the student is progressing normally toward a degree in the College of Arts and Sciences at IUB or in an IU-administered or IU-co-sponsored overseas study program. Renewal of the award is subject to meeting the renewal criteria and the availability of funds. Recipient(s) must write letter of thanks to the donor.
