Biography

Deborah Cohn is Provost Professor in the Department of Spanish and Portuguese and Interim Director of the College Arts and Humanities Institute at Indiana University Bloomington. She is the author of The Latin American Literary Boom and U.S. Nationalism during the Cold War (Vanderbilt UP, 2012) and History and Memory in the Two Souths: Recent Southern and Spanish American Fiction (Vanderbilt UP, 1999). She enjoys working with students from a wide variety of fields and disciplines in her courses, which explore and question the infrastructures—academic, intellectual, publishing, cultural, etc.—through which knowledge and cultural production circulate (or don’t).
