Ashley Hayes is from Southfield-Detroit, MI. She is the oldest and middle child of her blended families; a lifelong dancer and current member of IU's Legendary African American Dance Company; and a 3rd year MA/PhD Student in the African American and African Diaspora Studies Program. Ashley is pursuing her care for, interest and love of culture in multiple ways, one being through her minor, for example, in Media Arts and Sciences. Her ultimate goals are a life well lived and empowering others to experience and receive the same.
