Biography

Minjeong Kim is a Professor of Merchandising in the Eskenazi School of Art, Architecture + Design and an affiliate faculty in the Institute for Korean Studies. She is a behavioral scientist. Her research program examines the mental processes underlying consumer decision-making with a focus on sensory perceptions, mental imagery, and emotion. She also studies what makes consumers misbehave and engage in risky behaviors in contexts such as Black Friday. Her work experience in the global fashion industry with persistent social and ethical issues has profoundly influenced her growth as an educator. Her goal is to help make education more accessible and affordable to all learners.
