Eric McKenzie is Ph.D. candidate in the Department of Chemistry. He graduated from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill in 2016 with a double major in Chemistry and Modern European History. Eric's research focuses on elucidation of electrosynthetic mechanisms with application towards electrochemical degradation of environmental pollutants. Eric is committed towards increasing representation of minoritized groups in STEM by lowering achievement gaps and addressing equity irregularities between underrepresented minorities and non-underrepresented minorities in introductory-level STEM courses.
