Dr. Tri Keah S. Henry is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Criminal Justice at Indiana University – Bloomington. Her research examines the effects of extralegal factors on discretionary decision-making during case processing. Specifically, her work highlights procedural processes in policing and distributive outcomes in sentencing, giving special attention to the influence of race and gender in these contexts. Dr. Henry’s teaching philosophy emphasizes cultural diversity, as well as diversity of thought with the goal of allowing students to safely express their unique perspectives, ask questions without fear of reprisal, and develop more informed opinions.
