Do you find so many subjects appealing that you can’t choose just one major? If so, the Bachelor of Liberal Studies (B.L.S.) degree may be exactly what you’re looking for.
Bachelor of Liberal Studies
- Biology + chemistry + cognitive science
- History + anthropology + sociology
- Art history + fine arts + philosophy
The B.L.S. degree is designed to give you a strong liberal arts and sciences foundation while allowing you to choose a broad concentration area rather than a specific major. This flexibility makes the degree program unique both in the College and at IU. And if you plan carefully, you may find that you can add multiple minors and certificates to your B.L.S. degree.
The Bachelor of Liberal Studies replaced the Bachelor of General Studies in summer 2014. Talk to a liberal studies advisor to find out how this affects you.
