The B.A. major in French fosters proficiency in reading, writing, listening, and speaking in French, and explores the literature and culture of France. In addition, the French program offers basic courses in linguistics to discover the structure and development of the language. After the basic language sequence, students choose courses in French literature, advanced grammar and writing practice, French and francophone culture, and French linguistics. Students with an interest in international business may complete a Business French course.
