Philosophy/Religious Studies - Bachelor of Arts (B.A.)

The B.A. with an interdepartmental major in Philosophy and Religious Studies offers students the opportunity to examine how world religions and philosophy are intertwined. Students take courses in both majors that emphasize the prominent philosophies behind some of the religious traditions of the world. In both departments, students read and take critical looks at fundamental texts and important concepts and learn how to discuss and dissect these concepts. The Interdepartmental degree is flexible enough to prepare students for a wide variety of careers, including those in education, the social sciences, law, medicine, and politics. In addition, many students make the decision to pursue graduate study in a variety of disciplines, including public policy, law, business, medicine, and seminary, as well as doctoral programs in religious studies and philosophy.
