Indiana Scholars Scholarship

For one or more incoming freshmen from Indiana

The Indiana Scholars Scholarship—also known as the Arts and Sciences Indiana Scholars Scholarship—awards $1,000 per year for up to four years. The number of recipients varies each year.

Eligibility

To be eligible for this scholarship, you must:

  • Have Indiana resident status when you apply for admission to IU Bloomington
  • List an intended major in the College of Arts and Sciences on your application for admission
  • Be admitted to IU’s freshman class for the coming academic year
  • Have achieved outstanding academic success in high school

Application process

Students apply using IU’s online Selective Scholarship Application (SSA). You’ll be notified if your IU Bloomington application for admission qualifies you to be invited to fill out the SSA.

The College’s Scholarship Committee chooses recipients and notifies them in March.

Deadline

Applicants must submit a completed application for admission to IU Bloomington by November 1. Then they must complete the SSA by the date specified on the SSA.

Renewal

This scholarship may be renewable for up to four years.
