An award-winning graphic designer, Faimon received a Bachelor of Fine Arts from Indiana University, where she graduated summa cum laude and was a member of Phi Beta Kappa. She received her Master of Fine Arts from Yale University, where she was honored with the Norman Ives Memorial Award. Most recently, Faimon served as professor and chair of the Department of Art at Miami University in Oxford, Ohio.
As executive dean of the College, Singell administers one of the largest comprehensive liberal arts colleges in the country, including more than 70 degree-granting departments and programs that span the humanities, sciences, and social sciences. Under his leadership, the College recently became the administrative home of three new IU schools: the School of Global and International Studies, The Media School, and the School of Art and Design.
