Friday, September 20, Noon-1:30 p.m.
Mathers Museum, 416 N. Indiana Avenue
Have you ever encouraged or required students to visit one of the campus cultural centers to complete a classroom assignment or project? Have you wondered what it might be like for a Latinx or a queer student to be the subject or “object” of student assignments? Are you curious about how you might partner with an OVPDEMA cultural center or academic unit in a mutually beneficial way?
Join us for lunch! Learn from OVPDEMA directors about the work of the cultural centers and academic units, and take away concrete strategies on how to orient your and your students’ behavior, language, communications, values, and ethic perceptions to the identities and realities of others who are different from you.
This event is for IU faculty and instructional staff, and space is limited. Please RSVP by September 6.
