We look forward to honoring you at the College’s Direct Admit Induction Ceremony, presided over by Rick Van Kooten, executive dean of the Indiana University Bloomington College of Arts and Sciences.
This is a College tradition you won’t want to miss!
Doors will open at 9:30 a.m. and the ceremony will begin promptly at 10 a.m. Students and parents are welcome to remain in the auditorium afterward for a brief reception where there will be light refreshments, as well as opportunities to mingle with College faculty and take pictures with official degree program banners.
Seating is limited to 3 guests per student. Please let us know if you or your guests have special needs or requests. Contact us at collrsvp@iu.edu.
In accordance with Monroe County and Indiana University protocols, everyone is required to wear a mask indoors. Given the large size of the Auditorium, families and guests will have the opportunity to socially distance from others if they choose.
Inductees and their guests are also invited to attend the College's Walter Center for Career Achievement Family Open House before or after the ceremony. Drop by the second floor of Ernie Pyle Hall, a short walk west on Seventh Street from the Auditorium, between 9 a.m. and 12 p.m. to meet the career coaches and learn about the Center's services and opportunitties for undergraduates.
Hotel advisory
Please reserve your hotel accommodations soon. At peak times such as IU Family Weekends, Homecoming, and Commencement, it is common for hotels to sell out in advance and require a 2-night minimum stay. When booking your accommodations, ask the hotel if a minimum stay is required.
