Join the College of Arts and Sciences and the Department of Mathematics for a special event on April 10.
Hosted in the Cook Center for Arts and Humanities, this celebration of mathematics and music will feature a lecture from Jacobs School of Music Professor Julian Hook. Professor Hook's presentation is titled "Music as a Mathematician's Playground."
Following the presentation, the Canone Quartet will perform Mendelssohn's "String Quartet No. 2" in A minor. The quartet is comprised of Jacobs School students Thomas Mathias (violin), Kelsea Au (violin), Ross McIntosh (viola), and Manuel Papale (cello).
