The National Science Foundation’s Scholarships in Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (S-STEM) program supports undergraduate students pursuing degrees in STEM fields.
The program provides scholarships of up to $10,000 per student per year, based on financial need. The scholarships are renewable for up to three years (six semesters). Scholarships can be combined with other awards except for comprehensive scholarships (e.g., Cox Scholarships).
The program also connects participants with a community of science and math scholars that focus on helping them achieve academic success and prepare for careers in science and math. Activities include:
- Academic support
- Research experiences
- Faculty mentoring
- Seminars and speakers
- Career advising
Students with significant financial need and students from underrepresented populations are especially encouraged to apply.Learn more about the S-STEM Program
