There is a lot to think about and to do before you pack your bags for an entire semester abroad. Here are a few helpful tips to get started:
- Speak with your advisor and your parents.
- Review your finances, and be realistic about how much you need to save and how much you can spend.
- If you are considering housing for the school year, make plans to sublet your space while you’re gone. Students living in RPS housing can fill out a waiver to be released without penalty from their housing contract.
- Keep in mind that you may not spend a semester abroad on an exchange at a partner university during your last semester at IU.
