Why did I choose IU? I chose IU because I had always wanted to attend a large university after growing up in a smaller school environment. When I toured campus, it immediately felt like the right place for me. I also wanted to challenge myself by stepping outside of my comfort zone, and so far, IU has given me both the exciting big-campus experience I was looking for and the opportunity to grow in ways I never expected.
Advice for future IU students: Don't be afraid to ask for advice about anything and everything. You're going to change your mind about classes, clubs, goals, and maybe even your career and that's okay. Let yourself grow, and don't be afraid to lean on the people around you for support.
Campus housing: Forest Quadrangle
Student Organizations: Indiana University Dance Marathon
Hobbies: Reading, thrifting, going to the gym, shopping, and trying new things
Favorite IU memory: My favorite memory so far has been the Spring '26 semester because that's when I found a better balance. I started spending more time with friends, getting outside more often, and enjoying everything college had to offer. It reminded me that some of the best parts of college happen when you give yourself the chance to grow and experience new things.
