Political and Civic Engagement (PACE)

The interdisciplinary, 22 credit hour PACE certificate combines hands-on learning with academic study to provide students with a unique preparation for political and civic engagement.

PACE students develop skills in leadership, communication, public engagement, and democratic practices. They learn to engage in constructive dialogue, and develop informed critiques of political and civic institutions as well as to analyze the effectiveness of policies, and devise effective solutions to public problems.

This is a flexible program, which enables you to tailor it to your individual interests. Courses in this program are offered in areas ranging from Business to Geography and Media to Social Work, covering topics such as economics, ethics, social movements and law.
