Biography

Kate Abramson is Associate Professor and Director of Undergraduate Studies in Philosophy. Her work stretches across the 18th century, contemporary ethics, and philosophical feminism. She is author of On Gaslighting (forthcoming, Princeton University Press) and is in the final stages of completing a monograph on the evolution of David Hume’s ethics tentatively titled, The Artifice of Nature. Abramson has received fellowship awards from the ACLS, APS, and the Princeton Center for Human Values, along with several International awards for articles she’s published. She has twice received the Trustees Teaching Award (2023, 2016) and was the 2020 David and Cheryl Morley ASURE Teacher of the Year.
