
Anthony DeCurtis
Anthony DeCurtis (Ph.D. '80, English) is a contributing editor for Rolling Stone, where his work has appeared for more than 30 years, and serves as a distinguished lecturer in the creative writing program at the University of Pennsylvania. He is the author of many books and essays about music and musicians, including Rocking My Life Away: Writing About Music and Other Matters, In Other Words: Artists Talk About Life and Work, and the official biography of Velvet Underground co-founder Lou Reed, Lou Reed: A Life. DeCurtis' liner notes for the Eric Clapton box set Crossroads won a Grammy Award in the Best Album Notes category, and he has appeared as a commentator on MTV, VH1, The Today Show, and many other programs.
