Fuson also served as co-chair of the 2012 Super Bowl Village Committee, co-chairman of special events for the 1991, 1997, and 2000 NCAA men’s basketball final four, and has served on the local organizing committee for the 2006, 2010, and 2021 NCAA final four. Fuson also led the effort to bring the 2021 NBA All-Star Game to Indianapolis, which is now scheduled for 2024.
A lifelong resident of Indianapolis, Fuson serves in a variety of volunteer capacities, as well, and sits on a number of prominent boards. He’s the immediate past chairman of the Indiana Sports Corp. Board of Directors, which helped guide the 2021 NCAA men’s basketball tournament, and he’s a member of the board of directors for the Central Indiana Corporate Partnership (CICP). In addition, he’s a member of the Business Equity for Indy initiative created by the CICP, the Indiana High School Athletic Association Foundation, the Indy Public Safety Foundation, the Indy Chamber, and the Visit Indy Advisory Board, among others.
Fuson is married to Karen and has three children (Amy, Emily, and Matthew) and two grandchildren (Jackson and Sullivan), in addition to Karen’s two children (Kaela and Kyle).
