You can find this information in the College of Arts and Sciences Bulletin. The Bulletin is a resource and roadmap that provides you with the information you need to make the most of your undergraduate career and to graduate from the College in a timely manner. In addition to providing information about degree requirements, the Bulletin contains information about rules and regulations, courses, and opportunities within and outside of our individual schools, departments, and programs.
After your final grades have been posted, you need to immediately send your transcript to the Office of Admissions. You can refer to the Credit Transfer Service for helpful information on transfer work and ways to find out how courses will count at IU Bloomington.
You can use the iGPS system to search for courses in a particular semester after the Schedule of Classes for that semester has been published.
Yes; all new transfer students must meet with an academic advisor prior to registering during New Student Orientation (NSO).
Online registration is available during New Student Orientation (NSO). You will be provided with assistance at NSO as you access the registration system. You will also be informed about helpful academic planning tools during your advising appointment.
General information on IUB’s registration process is available on Student Central’s website. Keep in mind you cannot register until after you have met with an academic advisor during New Student Orientation.
The advisor you will meet during orientation is one of the advisors in the College. However, they may or may not be your permanent advisor thereafter.
Yes, you can correspond with College advisors ahead of your scheduled New Student Orientation (NSO) advising appointment. Keep in mind you will still have to meet with a College advisor during NSO in order to gain access to the registration system and enroll in classes.
