Preparing to begin your journey in the College

Whether you want to study at another IU campus or you want to know how your credits from another campus or university apply at IU Bloomington, we can help. Read the information below, then meet with your academic advisor to make sure the courses you plan to take--or have taken--will count toward your degree requirements at IU Bloomington.

The following information and resources can help you as you take the next steps in preparing for your first semester in the College of Arts and Sciences (including our three schools: the Eskenazi School of Art, Architecture + Design, the Hamilton Lugar School of Global and International Studies, and The Media School).

Find out what's required to transfer to the College

All transfer students must participate in New Student Orientation (NSO) before being permitted to register for classes. As part of NSO, you will meet with an academic advisor to discuss your academic goals and plan for registration.

You’ll need to complete the appropriate intercampus transfer form prior to your transfer. Grades from all courses taken on another IU campus will automatically be reflected on your transcript.

Grades from all courses taken on another IU campus will automatically be reflected on your transcript. However, they may not automatically fulfill IU Bloomington requirements. Contact your academic advisor before you register for a course to ensure it will count toward your degree requirements.
