Arts + Sciences Undergraduate Research Experiences (ASURE)
ASURE combines the best practices of liberal arts and sciences learning—teaching and mentorship, problem-solving challenges, faculty-led lab research, and project-based learning experiences. Whatever path you choose after graduation, our ASURE programs will prepare you to question critically, think logically, communicate clearly, act creatively, and live ethically—qualities we in the College believe necessary for you to pursue a successful and meaningful life.
ASURE for incoming freshmen
Our ASURE program designed for incoming College of Arts and Sciences freshmen is an innovative two- or three-semester course sequence. The program offers a chance to explore research opportunities in your first year while earning academic credit toward your degree through coursework, project-based learning, seminars, and lab work.
ASURE Professional Practice courses for all students
Our ASURE Professional Practice courses focus on hands-on learning, giving you the chance to actively apply your knowledge while building essential skills. By the end of the course, you’ll have a polished project ready for your professional portfolio, along with valuable experience presenting your ideas and engaging with faculty and peers.
