Join us in the IU Auditorium for a welcome address from Rick Van Kooten, executive dean of the College of Arts and Sciences at 11 a.m., followed by a student panel discussing life as a College student, mini-lectures from faculty, and a performance from an IU Acapella Group. We’ll be serving up coffee, tea, and breakfast pastries in the lobby before the program begins.

- College Study Abroad
Studying abroad is an opportunity to enhance your academic skills, to build your resume and career profile, and to become a better version of yourself. When might it fit into your plan? How will you decide where to go? And what are the costs? Pete Giordano, Director of International Programs in the College of Arts and Sciences, will help you begin your exploration. A student panel will join him to share their stories and discuss the value of their experiences overseas. - Alumni Panel
The College has a rich history of showing students how to use a liberal arts and sciences education to prepare for a lifetime of meaningful and fulfilling work. In this session, College Alumni will discuss all the experiences and opportunities that shaped their time at IU and how they built a successful life from that foundation. This can't miss discussion will be held in the IMU Frangipani Room. - ASURE Information Session:
Curious about research opportunities at IU? Drop by Whittenberger Auditorium in the IMU to join an Arts and Sciences Undergraduate Research Experience (ASURE) session and gain insights from professors and current students who are already immersed in their research journey. - College 101 Panel:
Choosing the right university is an important decision – especially when you’ll be the first in your family to attend! This session features a brief presentation on the transition to college, followed by an interactive question and answer panel. Participating in the panel is a faculty member, academic advisor, career coach, and a current student – who all proudly identify as first-generation.
There are options for each session at 1:30 and 2:30 p.m. Each session lasts approximately 45 minutes, with 15 minutes allocated for walking to the next location. Sign up for your preferred information sessions when you register for College Preview Day.
